Course update

Fall is upon us and I am thankful!  It has been a weird, long summer.  5 FEET of rain, 4 days in August with highs in the 60's,  excessive growth in the rough, the list goes on.  As we move into Fall leaves have begun to turn and drop, grass is slowing down and we prepare the greens for cooler weather.  Many agronomic practices are performed to ready them:

--Raise height of cut
--Eliminate the use of Growth Regulator
--Apply Potash to strengthen roots
--Apply 13-2-13 to promote root growth
--Cease verticutting and heavy topdressing

Pre-emerge has been applied to the course to prevent winter weeds.  Hopefully my timing was right!!

The lake repair on #10 is complete and the lake is full.

Lake Repair #10

The repair of the lake on #10 is complete.  A new siphon system was installed by Applied Aquatics Inc.  They came Friday morning and were done by 3:00.  Now we just need it to rain to fill the lake.

After a trench was dug, the siphon system is being installed.

View of exposed portion of siphon.  Normal flow will go though pipe but in the event of flooding the siphon will take water out at a much faster rate.

Final step was to disable old overflow pipe with concrete.
